Blue Mtn Tyson!! 9 years old - he now lives with a family in northern Idaho

Tyson and his boy, Jonathan, in northern Idaho, go hunting together for those pesky gophers in the field! They are great friends, and Tyson is very happy with his new family -- and his Cairn Terrier ladies!

Colette was a great show dog, raised several litters of puppies for us, and is now retired. She lives in an assisted living complex with a man as his companion and therapy dog.

Maggie - Black Magic Woman
Maggie loves lots of attention, and is a cuddler between my knees when I am at the computer. She is a wonderful mother and I was amazed to watch her teach Poppy, the pup, the proper manners about the tiny pups - just subtly and not with snarling and teeth! Such a great mother.

Ziggy went happily to her new life as a Therapy Dog for a 12 year old homeschooled girl in Montana. The girl had separation anxiety issues and Ziggy would be doing her best to help stabilize any situations that arise.

Sophia is Cooba's litter mate and sister. She was placed with a family this summer after several litters of puppies. Here is a letter from her family:
Hi Norma, So glad to hear from you and an update of how things are going. We would love to keep in touch an would love to see the video. I just have to say thank you for Sophie, she is the most WONDERFUL dog in the whole world and we love her to death. She brings us happiness, laughter and fun each day. Everyone that meets her falls in love with her, except the cat but he tolerates her. I can't imagine life without her...... Thanks again and keep in touch, Lisa and girls........ |
 Rowdy was so tired after running with Ryder, his daddy, at the dog park that he found the comfy spot in the house and crashed for a nap! 
Cooba is Sophia's litter mate and these sister's are as different as day and night. Cooba had a nice litter of puppies including Rowdy - top left.

 Sophia was a really interesting dog - you see this sequence of pictures? She just wanted to be near the people and would get out and meet them at the front door! She drove my sister CRAZY!    And over she went! Not to run away, just to get where she wanted.

This is Sophia's daughter, Emma, who runs a home here in Albany - at least that's what her people tell us. She is a sweet dog who loves the grandkids.

Chloe
Chloe was a female that came to us at 4 years old from a difficult kennel - and lots of problems. She adored Marland and would do anything for him. She was here a couple of years, then retired with an elderly lady in Victoria BC where she is taken on neighborhood walks daily and even tolerates a cat and a bird! That's pretty good for a hunter!

Angus lives with a family with two young children in Salem. When the baby was about to roll off the couch, Angus ran over to the couch, and got under the baby, breaking her fall. Neither baby nor dog were hurt, but that baby is so lucky to have a dog that will allow her to put her fingers in his mouth! Incredible.
Mishka - Cricket's daughter
Mishka has been an apartment dog for my daughter in Washington, Virginia, Georgia, and Oregon. She is so like her mother that we have to check the tags to see who is who!

Cricket and her son, Chance
Chance is a family dog with two devoted children, room to run on the farm in Brownsville, Oregon, now joined in January 2011 by a Cricket great granddaughter.
Jane was Georgie's daughter and returned to us at 8 years old. She retired a year later and lives near Eugene with a family of 3 boys.
